The TATRA STB-601 SLUG’s most distinctive features are its large tube magazine capacity and the robust 51 cm (20″) SLUG barrel with a fixed choke. This legendary barrel, made of drilled AISI 4140 steel, significantly thicker than other barrels available on the market, manufactured with zero balance using state-of-the-art technology and the highest quality materials, is used for slug shooting, ensuring durability, accuracy, and precision. It bears the symbol Fleur-de-Lys: suitable for steel shot.
The model TATRA STB-601 SLUG features a special, hardened steel ring mounted in the forend, a hallmark of all STB-601 series products. This steel ring allows the forend to move smoothly back and forth within the magazine tube while reloading. This prevents the forend and the ambidextrous handles that operate the bolt from being subjected to additional stress, ensuring years of trouble-free service.
The 7075-T6 aluminum receiver, precision-machined on CNC machines, ensures lightness and exceptional durability even under the harshest pressure and operating conditions.
